back from holidays yaaaaaay....

Basically I'm writing this because I have a Lit sac tomorrow and I want to procrastinate studying... hehe... but anyways.

Pringles has not posted anything still...... >:(

It was Pringle's birthday the other day though, I got a lot of google images and Photoshopped James Mcavoy as a Present :) I also folded this origami with his Face all over it... I give the best presents :D

Except at school when I generously offered to lend Pringles 12 cents, she suddenly assaulted me crying "NO! GIMME 24!!!!" Sheesh.
I am so tired of looking at James Mc Avoy's face now though.... bleagh

Reincardnation

Hi, Imma back from holidays :)

Don't judge, one has better things to do in the holidays than to sit in front of the computer blogging.

I went on a few camps, weee. The usual group of us planned a grand gathering to see Captain America, but it turns out that I had camp then, and was absent.

But this arrived just then:

Pokemon TCG!

Sup.
Wooo so on Aths day a few days ago We planned a massive DS party :D

Only to be foiled by evil teachers >:(

So we played Pokemon cards instead! :D
I even managed to persuade Mr.Teddy to join in >:) The disease has begun....

Today I spent the entire day sorting out my cards :)

Last time I checked I had over 1000 cards... though that number may have grown due to Mr.Tic Tac's contributions and my booster pack that I bought today :)

I also unearthed by dittos :D

I also just found an awesome set of 108 energy cards on Ebay (12 each of water, fire, electric, psychic, grass, fairy, fighting, dark and steel) that were for a relatively low price, meaning that I CAN NOW MAKE DECKS OF ANY TYPE!!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!!!!!
... most types anyway.

We Amusing - A Wii Music Review :3

Herro.

So yesterday I went shopping and came across Wii Music for $15.

Usually my mum doesn't let me buy this kind of stuff, but since I owed my sister $5 and only had a $20 note on me, she obliged :)

I have to admit, I didn't really have too high a hope for this game, it seemed a bit funny...

Plus it was only $15, so you know.

According to the dodginess scale, the cheaper something is, the more likely it is to suck.

Unless it's free; in which case, yay!

...

Anyway, I went home and put the sparkly disc into my Wii and was greeted by a jarring intro chord I'm not sure was tonal.

Not exactly a great start.

But then I got to the game section, and it was actually quite fun! I selected my Mii and we played music games which involved "pick the player with the highest pitch" and "arrange the players into the three-part harmony heard in the speakers". Woo! Theory!

And Oh Wow the actual jamming XD

I'd post an excerpt up but I haven't quite figured out how to transfer it from my Wii yet :P

You get to choose over 50 different instruments, and apart from oversimplifying the playing, they actually sound realistic. Apart from the Bass Flute. That sounds like Farts :P

Being a singer, I naturally chose the vocalist, and... lol.

If you've ever played animal crossing, you'll know what it sounds like.

I 'sang' a bit of "Scarborough Fair" (an olden favourite of mine) and my sister picked the harmonising vocalist :) it was a woderful duet, since the system not only allows you to play the song syncopated or in other tempos, it allows you to improvise and stuff :3 Yay!

And then my mum came and started raining on the congas XD

Anyway, I think that's all I'll write without spoiling anything today :P It is fun. Go play. Hilarity ensured.

...wow that was weird.

So anyways I am posting this because I've got nothing better to do, and I DON'T WANNA DO ANOTHER !@#$% CASH JOURNAL FOR ACCOUNTING WHYY WHYY WHYYYYY DO YOU DO THIS TO US CAMBRIDGE ACCOUNTING TEXTBOOK VERSION 2 WHYYYYY.

Also I just finished reading one of Lady Deathly's writings online (which I shall not link without prior permissions, for fear of discombobulation), and I am thoroughly enlightened by the experience :) Shush Lady You are an excellent writer how could you say otherwise -_- Jump off the self esteem roller-coaster!!!! Just do it! NIKE!

I'm sorry, I just had karate and I'm a tad delirious from the adrenaline right now :P Dodging punches is probably the best counter to writer's block.

Unless you miss, then it's probably not the best thing to do.

Though if you write best with your nose parallel to the ground, that's fine with me too.
I won't judge.

So Here is a post-pi day post.

Since we're mixing things up a little, here's a way to remember 50 digits of Tau!

I chose the remixed version, since it's cool and a little different.
Tau can be defined as Pi times 2, and is sometimes preferred over Pi due to it's simplicity and tendency to un-complicate circular functions and radians. Though there is much debate between which one is better, I like to think that Tau and Pi are more like twins, only that Pi is slightly more famous. They get along though.

But, since this Is Pi day (Tau day is on the 28th June), I will part with this Pro-pi image:

Punishment.

So today we had a field day of really awful tree-based puns that drove splinters in our ears.A punderful day indeed.

Sorry, I'm sort of stumped for what to say now. I can't really remember what the whole affair was a'bough't, but I'm pretty sure I was the root of the problem. I really was rotten, unbeleafably so. I guess these jokes were all deciduous though, they were bound to fall flat. After awhile, my friends wanted me to leaf, tried to uproot me, even when I explained 'Treedom of speech'. Funny though, I thought they would be a stickler for these type of jokes. Now it's all ingrained in our memories. Sticks and stones I guess. I tried to branch out the conversation by talking about my maths class; I handled square roots fine, but couldn't do logs. I had music halfway through though, so I guess I really had a lesson on logarithms.
These jokes are growing kind of old now. I guess I was just barking up the wrong tree.
After all that transpired, I should be locked up in a cellulose. Oh well, you only leaf once.

Party animals

So I haven't really been learning any new pentricks... heh. I guess I'll just stick to the ones I know for now, except both my parents know the trick where you spin the pen around your thumb... I can't do it, which is slightly depressing :P

But on the bright side, we had this party thing at Lady Deathly's house the other day :D We both turned 16, with a 19hr gap, so that was good :) She had an awesome amazing race party, which Me and Ananu came last in, and then they threw me a surprise party on aths day, which was so surprising that I tried to run away from it :P

Speaking of parties, we just moved all of our shoes to the front door (clearing the back entrance), and now it looks like we're popular.

...We're not.

Labour day tomorrow, then a Lit 3/4 SAC :(
But Pi day is fast approaching, so Yay!

So, I have been studious lately, and my bag has regained to power to fall over :D whew.
That means that I've had time to work on some projects, which I will now promptly show.

Uhh, on less random things, I have also decided that I want to learn pentricks this year (a decision I made today). Thus far, I have learnt one trick, called the Sonic, I think. Here's me partly practising and failing at it:

The Drive Home

Sooo, I just got back, after farewells from Mr.Tic Tac, Silo, Spoosh and such (I got a cookie from Pringles. It was a good cookie :3) and I was being driven back home and I noticed some very bad news when we turned the curb.

My bag didn't fall over D:

Ok, so I feel that I should clarify something here, since all I can feel are virtual stares coming out of my screen (-_-).

My bag is normally very light, containing only my blazer (or straitjacket) and a few books. This meant that I had a relatively small amount of homework, and as such whenever we turn the curb my bag cannot resist the inertia, thus flying off into the far reaches of the opposite seat.
However, there are days, dark days, where my bag has been sufficiently (and generously) loaded with homework by teachers who hide their horns under ridiculous hairdos (ahem.ahem.mrward.ahem.ahem) enough so that my bag resists the momentum of the turn, spelling doom to my free time.

Such was the case today.

I gotta do work now.

Epic-ly Frozen: A Review

Uhhh, I don't know what to talk about in my posts now, so imma just going to talk about a few films that I recently (legally) obtained, namely Epic and Frozen. Many thanks to Ananu for the (legitimate) transferrals of video data.Oh, and spoilers. Much spoilers.

Yay, Epic! Basically about a story about some girl who's discontent cos her mum died (tears) and so she has to go live with her estranged father but she doesn't want to cos he's a psycho researcher and blah blah blah blah. Then she casually finds the "Queen of the forest" who just dies right there on the spot. Then she gets shrunk tiny in order to protect some bud thing which contains the power of the new queen, and which the evil people want to take away so she helps the good people and they win and the bud blooms (yay) and she kisses some guy she just met and then she gets big again with new lifelong friends :)

Seriously, that's how it goes.

Ok, maybe I simplified it a tad but in terms of plot, it was pretty random. I mean, the bud doesn't even have a new queen inside it, it just takes over some poor citizen of the forest, and just like "poof" they're queen, dress and all. Does that mean only Girls can be chosen? What if it chose a guy? Would he have to wear a dress? What pension plan do they get? Do they get to retire? Do they have a clearly defined hierarchy in which the citizen doesn't get a choice?

However, what the animated film lacks in plot, it makes up for in atmosphere and graphics. I mean, just look at this:

But that's all there is to it :P

Frozen! About 2 sister princesses that used to be besties but one had ice magic and then she 'Let it goooooo' and she was all like:

and she hurt her sister who was like:

and then the snowman was like:

and then the first sister was sad and their parents died so everyone was sad but WAIT! She's old now, and it's her coronation day, so she has a party and then she gets angry at her sister for getting engaged to a person she just met so she reveals her power (gasp). then everything just snowballs and they end up all freezing in an unending summer, but then through an act of love everything gets thawed out. Joy.

I make it sound all stupid and terrible, but I quite enjoyed it, both plot and graphic-wise. Since I had nothing to do, I memorised most of the songs, much to my sister's chagrin, and yeah. good movie. go see it.

Why hello there my avid, avid fans.

...(Fly buzzes, cricket chirps, tumble-weed tumbles, etc.)

So, I'm sure you guys will forgive my break from this, I did include an explanation in the last post though, for those of you with more functioning brain cells ;P Since it's a (Chinese) New Year, I suppose I'd better kick things off again here on my blog... heh.

As expected, Pringles is still on her long, long vacation from this section of the internet, but I'm sure she'll be back.... one day...

The start of the year package also unfortunately come coupled with the start of school, which contains holiday homework within the pack. It feels like I'm being stabbed in the face repeatedly after experiencing the luxuries of waking up at 1pm :3

Speaking of holiday luxuries, I got to go Iceskating with Mr.Tic Tac, Ananu, Lady Deathly and Cherry! (Cherry bailed though, some excuse about moving house. Frankly, that's just not good enough. I will be issuing a complaint to the Society of People Aborting Meetings to sort this betrayal out. Yes, I will be S.P.A.M.-ing her >:D ) It was fun, of course. I got to see everyone fall over except for myself, hehehe; though Lady Deathly fell when trying to skate backwards, so I should give some credit for that. Ananu just kind of clung to the edges of the rink though... -_-" Mr.Tic Tac was Skating fine, till he almost faceplanted into the ice XD I managed to win this Free pass by doing the Macarena though, so that was something :3
